You forgot one basic piece to the story, it is the irresponsible borrowers, the steeple who take loans they could NEVER afford that causes the up and down cycles. When people can’t pay their mortgage and the bank is left with millions of houses that are worthless, they HAVE to cut spending as their reserves are drying up. It is not the banks who limit circulation it is the people? who are responsible. If only banks had a tight control and only gave loans to good borrowers this would not happen.
